Here's a quilt that I've made the end of 2010 at a workshop in York, called Oriental Fans.
I enjoyed making this so much that I made another for a swap run by BQL in January/February 2011
Another quilt for a swap in the summer was this one below, which was to be made of a different shape other than 4 sided or to make it an irregular 4 sided shape.
This was based on quilt made at a workshop that I did several years ago with Janice Gunner and the colours on the quilt below were inspired by sandy cliffs at Branksome Chine.
Last year on one of our several trips between Yorkshire and Dorset our stopping off point at the Bramble Patch in Weedon, Northamptonshire (exactly halfway) I saw this kit called Le Poulet in black and beige to make 4 placemats. Not only did I make these but also some coasters with the remaining fabric
I went on to make a little zip bag
and even a postcard from the same fabric. I did make that go a long way from just making 4 placemats!
